Our Wine Club is designed to appeal to our fans who wish to be a part of an exclusive group. Each year you will receive a mixed case from our wine portfolio including very limited release wines. In addition, members receive a 15% discount off subsequent purchases, a 50% discount off shipping rates, and a 10% referral discount when you introduce your wine-loving friends. We will also be happy to arrange for an exclusive Blue Rock dinner party complete with library wines ( great for a special birthday, anniversary, or Charity event)at your home. The 2008 Baby Blue is an embarrassment of richness. It is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 17% Syrah, and 8% Merlot and Malbec. Conceived as a second wine from the Estate’s young vines, it has morphed into a great wine all on its own and calling it a second wine does not do it justice. Rather, it is a more approachable Cabernet blend than its sibling yet it expresses the same unique signature of the vineyard. It is meant to be consumed earlier than Blue Rock and it is a fantastic value at your net cost of $24.99t.
The 2007 Blue Rock Cabernet, from the much heralded “vintage of the decade”, is very rich with sweet and velvety tannins, great structure, beautiful Cabernet purity, and a lengthy finish. It is a departure from previous Blue Rock Cabernets in that it is richer and more open knit and more typically California in style (in contract to the 2006 which was more reserved and in need of cellar time to flesh out). It is also a great value as we lowered your price by 30% to $33.60.
The 2007 Best Barrels Cabernet, made only in select vintages from the oldest estate vines that are aged in 100% new French Oak, and it is simply stunning. It is rich, layered, and incredibly deep with outstanding aromas and polished flavors that seem to go on for minutes. It is a wine for the cellar and will benefit from 5 or more years of bottle age. There were only 2 barrels selected and Best Barrels, as the name indicates, is an exclusive, limited production wine.
The 2007 Blue Rock Syrah is sadly our last vintage. It is made from an extreme hillside that is no longer commercially productive due to the age of the vines and the poor, shallow soils. It is a precocious Syrah and beautifully balanced with lots of beautiful black fruit flavors. We have cut the price dramatically to $19.95 and it is, therefore, a wine to purchase by the case and enjoyed every day.
