Blue Rock Portfolio

We make only small quantities of affordable, luxury Estate wines exclusively from our sustainable 100 acre hillside vineyard in Alexander Valley, Sonoma. We make 3 quality levels of Cabernet Sauvignon and a tiny amount of Syrah.

Blue Rock Cabernet Sauvignon

Blue Rock is our flagship Cabernet Sauvignon based wine. It is a blend of several mature blocks and may include small amounts of Merlot, Cab Franc, Malbec or Petit Verdot.

Best Barrels

Best Barrels is just what it sounds like. Every year, prior to bottling, Nick and I taste every barrel in order to determine the quality. If we discover something that is truly unique and special we will bottle it separately. As a result, Best Barrels is limited to a handful of cases and could be a varietal other than Cabernet Sauvignon. We insist on the "WOW" factor and Best Barrels is typically deep, dramatic, and special.

Baby Blue

Baby Blue is our second wine made primarily from the young vines of the Estate. However, it is made from all Blue Rock Estate grapes and artisan production like its siblings. As a result, Baby Blue has the same characteristics as Blue Rock Caberrtnet only with less depth and structure. It is a fantastic bargain!

Blue Rock Syrah

Blue Rock Syrah is made from an extreme 2.5 acre hillside behind the winery. The budwood was sourced from Ch Beaucastle in Chatenauf de Pape and makes a beautifully balanced, aromatic and Rhone-like structured wine.
